I recently came across a thread about the last year generation graphics card the RX460 having more cores that were hidden with 128 SP's and there was a way to unlock them...

Is it possible that the RX560 has them locked/Hidden?

https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/amd-radeon-rx-460-hidden-stream-processors-modified-bios/

https://www.techpowerup.com/239421/amd-officially-but-silently-downgrades-radeon-rx-560-with-an-896-sp-variant

from what I gather you need a modified Bios file.

now,How do I go about doing this?
I checked both Dell and AMD and they have nothing since february this year...

I need help locating a Bios file for Dell systems and AMD systems under the Baffin Codename:
Video Chipset Codename: Polaris 11/Baffin Mobile Pro

Is it possible to overclock and get more out of it?
default speed is 1053 mhz core speed and memory speed is 1500mhz.

one more thing,How do I know if they decided to lock them down...but you could possibly unlock them later on?
assuming they did the same thing to the RX460 cards.

How do you and me know for sure?
I am 100% sure I do not have the RX560D....

that being said...
I am sure it is the RX560 Baffin series.
came out in october 2017 with 14 CU's ,but the RX560 baffin series with 16CU's came out in may of 2017.

How do I know they locked them ,meaning they can be unlocked later if you know how?how do I know?

You didn't answer the report from gpu-z? It is the cut down version with 896 shaders? Judging by the low core and memory clocks i assume it is. My RX460 came with 1250 and 1750 clocks. Which vendor is the card from? 4gb or 2gb? I cannot answer to your question though. If your card has physically 896 shaders and you flash the unlocking bios then it is highly possible that you brick the card. In my case, the Sapphire RX460 4gb nitro is flashed with the bios of the RX560 Pulse and works great. I had already confirmed that this exact model is able to unlock though, in the overclocking.guide website. You may find others with your model that can help you there. Make sure that the memory chips are the same for both bioses (hynix, samsung, micron etc)

I can't post a picture like microsoft forums sites..that would be easier...
I have HWinfo it is more detailed than gpu-z.

however in gpu-z under R7 integrated graphics it says it has

" crossfire disabled(crossfire available) "

under RX560 it just says disabled...in gpu-z that got my attention thinking I could one day use both gpu's...

It says in gpu-z
I will type it

Vendor is Dell:
Dell Inspiron 15 5576

GPU:Baffin
Revision:C5
Technology:14 nm
Die Size:123mm2
Transistor:3000M

Polaris 11/Baffin MOBILE PRO
PCIe v3.0 x8 (8.0 GT/s) @ x8 (8.0 GT/s)
4096 GB
GDDR5 SDRAM
Graphics Memory Width:128-bit
Rop's/Tmu's:16 / 56
Unified: 896
Pixel Fillrate:16.8 Gpixel/s
Texture Fillrate:59.0 GTexel/s

Bus Width:128 bit
Crossfire Disabled - R7 says exactly this : - AMD Crossfire - Disabled (CrossFire available)

GPU Clock:1053 MHz
Default GPU Clock:1053 MHz
Memory:1500 MHz
Default Memory Clock:1500 MHz

Note:

Why does it have to be same brand?
I asked a lady friend of mine is she could by me a 8Gb DDR4 2400T 260 pin sodimm but didn't say kingston.
anyway,I figured that if their the right pin size and frequency 2400T it should be okay...

it should auto update the MOBO dedicated video memory after I turn on and wait for it to detect changes then reboot.

right now I have 1 8Gb DDR4 2400T kignston PC4-19200 SA1
and 1 2GB 2134 DDR4-PC4-17000 Hynix

it is 10GB and the deicatedvideo memory of 512MB didn't change when I put in a different ram stick.
but,it did activate dual channel.

Right now my system is running by default lower speeds 1063 MHz.....
it should be 1200MHz

P.S. I made sure I wrote down
8GB 1Rx8 PC4-19200-2400T-SA1
kmkyf9- mibs

to give her the idea what too look for...
she might get micron or kingston I don't know..but if it is the right type should it matter?

will it increase my mobo dedicated video memory?if it not a kingston?

what if it is a micron?with same specs?

He was talking about the video card memory chips, not the computer. Get rid of the 2 GB chip it is probably just slowing your system down. If you want more RAM than 8, get a second 8 GB stick of the same model as yours.
