Hello all,

For the first time in years I could not find an answer on this amazing forum.

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7559, which comes with Linux pre-installed, but I need to install Windows 10 on it.

This should be fairly simple. I switched the boot to Legacy, and disabled secured boot. Then when I turn on the computer I press F12 and select USB storage device, but to my dismay it does not work.

I get a black screen with an error referring to PXE-M0F, which means it is trying to boot via network I believe.

How can I get it to boot from my USB device?

*The USB device is powered, and it's light is on.

Thank so much for the time to help me!

I have tested it, and it loads on my old computer. I may try and test on another computer, just to be sure.

Only when I select Legacy boot

I have solved the issue!

After much more googling around, I created another bootable USB 2.0 device, this time using RUFUS, and making it bootable from UEFI. I kept my BIOS on UEFI, with secured boot off, and it worked perfectly.
