dell inspiron 1545 with b156x202 v.0 screen very dim screen only view-able with flashlight

Hi i got a Dell Inspiron 1545 with b156x202 v.0 screen and it is only view able through flashing a light on the screen i thought it was the inverter but it seems as though the screen doesn't require one. any idea what it could be? thanks in advance.

can that be replaced or do i have to replace the whole screen?

if the display stays dimm while you are in bios. and now way you are able to increase the brightness using he function keys.. then confirmed back light gone.

technically the light can be replaced alone.. but that depends on feasibility. when you order a screen you get the light along with it.. but you can also order the backlit and DIY replacing backlit.. which way way way difficult and time taking...
