[SOLVED] Dell Inspiron 530 GTX 1050

I got this pic for free and my thought was to turn it into a living room computer for movies and stuff but I got win 10 installed and it works fine but when I try and install drivers for my gtx 1050 it won't boot ...but I can go into safe mode and delete the drivers and everything is fine ....it's win 10 32 bit and yes I'm trying to install 32bit drivers

If your GPU requires a UEFI BIOS it may not work with that system. As far as I can tell that computer has a Legacy BIOS.
I see all kinds of 1050,1060 and 1070 GPUs running in that at userbenchmark.com.

I've run a Zotac1050Ti in my optiplex 380, and an MSI GTX1060 also. It just depends on what that particular card maker decided to do. A UEFI BIOS has compatability settings to run Legacy devices, but not the other way around. Most LGA775 Dells were legacy BIOS. Only the last DDR3 machines were UEFI.

So what are my options? Get a new card? Something like the gt 1030 or maybe something cheaper that I can use to just output 1080?

Here is what I would do. The 32 bit OS is a little tricky. But I'll show you the trick. You should be able to run a 64 bit OS in that.
Did you get the" latest" BIOS rom Dell. It may be 12 years old but get it anyway.
In Safe Mode did you manually remove the old GPU drivers? Often needed on a Dell. if it's not a UEFI conflict then that's probably it.
There were 2 MB for those. G33M-02, and DG33M03. Probably different BIOS because of different CPU support.
0RY007, and 0FM586 are showing up as Dell#s.
32 bit OS can only recognize about 3.5GB RAM. They "say" it has a 4GB RAM "limit".
Install 6-8GB anyway. Then you can use a modern 2-4GB GTX1050 GPU. The GPU will find the unused RAM and cache textures there, and the OS willl still have it's full share. 6RAM=2GB GPU, 8 RAM=4GB GPU
The GTX 1050 is the card you want for 1080P. GTX750 is better than 1030, but can just barely do 1080P. Even the older card comes in UEFI and Legacy versions.
I would put an E7500 with a tapemod to 3.66Ghz in that.

I'm running a GTX1060 3GB in my Opti 380 X5470 Xeon@3.33GHz and it works well. Spending on a GPU is not bad because it can move forward to your next system. 1060 needs a PCIe power cable though.
The advice to use a 1GB GPU like the 1030 is based on the 4GB RAM" limit".
Don't give up. Others are running Win 10 and modern GPUs in that system.

that is not my main system so i dont want to put much work in to it and im fine with the cpu in that system...my main system has a 8350 at 4.8ghz with 16gb of ram and a rx 570 so anything i want to do i can do on my main pc..but what card could i buy that would work in the system with out having to mess with it to much? i only used my 1050 because thats the card i had laying around..i dont want to play games on that pc just watch movies and tv in 1080

At userbenchmark you can click on any setup that appeals to you. Then click on the video card and the model # will be shown there.
Some old Dells had issues with newer AMD stuff not related to UEFI. So be careful with those.
If your 1050 isn't UEFI it should work.
