[SOLVED] Dell Inspiron 5559 Damaged Screen Replacement; Not Sure if Full Replacement Necessary

I have a Dell Inspiron 5559 laptop, which is a little more than 3 years old now. A few months ago, the screen broke, and I replaced it myself. More recently, the new screen also became damaged after the laptop fell a few feet. The screen is now so dark that it is unusable. However, when I hold 'D' while starting the computer to display a series of colors, the screen is just as bright as it should be. Because of this, I'm not sure if I do need to replace the screen again.

A short while after the new screen became damaged, the laptop stopped turning on correctly. When I attempt to turn it on now, the "Battery Charging" indicator blinks white 7 times, then orange 2 times, then repeats. The fans do not turn on during this. I would like to know if this problem will go away if I replace the screen, or it requires a separate fix, and if so, what that fix is.

If anyone can answer these questions, please do. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
The error is a display detection issue, so I would suggest making sure the LCD cable is still fully plugged into the screen and the motherboard. If it is, and it's still not working, you can get a new LCD cable for your laptop for $10 to $15.
