Hello Jeff,

Though your message is a bit vague in the detail department, I will try my best to interpret what your issues are...

"Dell Inspiron 560 will not get on the internet"

I am guessing you are utilizing a wired internet connection (aka Ethernet connection)? Try to get into your internet settings window. you can do this by going to Control Panel, going to "Network and Internet," clicking the "View Network Status and Tasks" under network and sharing center.

From there you can see that status of your home network. Is there anything connected in this panel? If not, you may want to reset your connection adapter. Do this by selecting "Change Adapter Settings" on the left side, right clicking your LAN adapter and selecting "disable." Wait a few seconds, then right click again and hit "Enable." Wait for it to acquire an IP address and connect, then you should be back in business.

the speaker has a red x on it

Sounds like you may have your system sounds muted? Click on the speaker icon and you should have a small popup appear with a speaker at the bottom with a red cross through it. Click that speaker to un-mute your sound.

when i click on something it says unknown hard drive on this computer.

Don't really know what you mean by "click on something." Could you please elaborate?

when i put my reinstall disk in a error comes up.

I would hold off on using your boot disk until you really need it. Messing around with that too much could damage your OS if you don't know what you are doing.
