Dell Inspiron B130 won't power on

Hello,
laptop recently got soot damage and went to shop for restoration work. came back and power jack did not work-shop said they needed to order new power jack. they installed and when i turned on pc, it worked for 10min, then froze. several alt del did not work, finally held power button and laptop shut off. now i cant get it to power up. tried removing battery, removing ac power, holdig power button for 1 min and reconnecting power. still wont power up-any other suggestions?

Hello, and welcome to THG.

Sounds damaged. And soot, like dirt, can screw up electronics. I say the PC repair store did not give you a guarantee that the soot will damage the laptop.
