Dell Inspiron from 1998...WOW!

Just look at those specs and what a deal! My Dad bought this laptop in 1998 and he just found his invoice. I thought it was pretty amazing to see how for we've come. I don't even know if you COULD spend that much on a laptop today.

That's nothing; a fully loaded Alienware laptop can be more than $5000.

I just configured a top of the line Alienware nAlienware Notebookotebook with Dual video cards..the works. It came to $4,358...that's not much more than that old notebook was. Just crazy to think for $3,500 you got a 233 Mhz Pentium and 64 Megs of RAM. Oh and don't forget that monster 4 Gig HD.

I've got an old gateway with 512mb ram and only 266mhz proc. I upgraded the ram, fresh installed, and its STILL worthless. Don't know what I ever used it for. Its got the original napster on it though, someday I'll show my son.
