dell inspiron i3847-2311bk upgrade suggestions?

so I have the system in the title

In nov. I am getting 400 usd to upgrade my computer

I have decided to go with this:

MSI - H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
MSI GTX 1050 2GB Graphics Card
Fractal Design Focus G (white)
EVGA BQ 600W Bronze+ PSU
Windows 10 Home
Fractal Design Fan 120mm (white)

I have chosen these parts for compatability with my i5-4460 and the RAM already in my computer

also I have chosen a new windows since the windows on dell inspiron desktops are linked to the motherboard

any suggestions would really be useful!

wow, I completely forgot about thermal paste

nightmares about my i5 catching fire

remember my limit is 400 usd (can probably go up to 430)

Why do you need a new motherboard? Your old one does the job. So skip the motherboard, instead invest in a 1050ti. Also the cooler comes with applied thermal paste so you don't need to buy one.

Are you completely sure that the motherboard that comes with my computer can fit into different cases?

Honestly I really didn't think about that but I guess you might be right.

I will conduct further research on my motherboard.

*edit* I just found out that if my motherboard does not need to be changed, I can save 150 dollars from not needing to buy windows and not needing to buy a new motherboard.
