I was looking at an Inspiron 6000D which was nicely priced with what I'd
wanted for under $1,300: ATI dedicated video, 533Mhz FSB and the 7200rpm
hard drive.

This was about a week or two ago. Now when I check their website, the 6000D
no longer has this hard drive as the option...only the slower ones are on
there.

Is it normal for them to do this? Did they not want it to compete with the
9300 series? Should I expect it to come back as an option on the 6000D?

I have the 7200 rpm HD and I'm very pleased with its performance. My
Inspiron 8600 is almost as fast as the Dimension 8400.

Ring and ask for it.

Ditto to Brian K's post.

I have the 7200 also. Definately a better pick instead of paying an extra
$120 for a
1.7 GHz instead of the 1.6 GHz I purcahsed.
