dell laptop charger question

can I use a 65w charger if the original charger was a 90w? I'm not sure what my dell latitude e5430 originally came with cause I'm using a aftermarket with no label. but a friend gave me a dell oem charger that he was using with his dell inspiron laptop. from what ive read some say I can use it some say no. please help. here is the charger model number LA65NS2-01 also here is the dell part number 6tm1c AND AGAIN THE LAPTOP MODEL IS A DELL LATITUDE E5430. thanks.

You can, the 5430 will complain in the bios about a lower power charger, have done this at work as a quick fix, as we use this model, but will degrade battery over prolonged use.

do you think to be safe maybe I should just order a oem charger? I saw a used oem charger on amazon for 17 dollars with free shipping.

also the aftermarket charger works well, but I just want a oem charger as well.
