Thank you in advance.
I switched my wireless router from my old Linksys to ASUS RT-AC68U, my wireless network works faster for home iphones, they shows stronger signal and access internet faster , but my 4 year-old Dell laptop (windows vista) failed to connect to internet even it received strong wireless signal and connected to home network.
If I connect the laptop to the RT AC68U with a internet cord, the internet worked, if not the laptop only shows wireless strong signals, but can't access to internet.
Please help.

Solution
1. if you could actually connect to your home wifi but not internet (which means it should be showing "local only")
simple try "diagnose and repair" or "troubleshot" option that you will get when you will click on network icon.
or
reset your wifi adapter and try these in command prompt
ipconfig release
ipconfig renew

make sure your ip settings and proxy settings are as per ISP's requiremets
2.
if you could not connect to your wifi modem at all, then its a dell specific problem already solved here

ur wifi adapter does not support channel of broadcast above 8
so open ur modem configuration by connecting ur lan cable(192.168.1.1)
find channel and set its value to 1...
Your wireless card probably needs an IP refresh. When you connect to the wireless connection, open up Command Prompt and type in ipconfig /release. When it finishes releasing your old IP, type in ipconfig /renew. It should give you a new IP with a renewed lease time.

Thank you for your help, but I did as you said and no luck, I called ASUS and talked to 3 different support staff, they said it's my Vista system problem, not their Router problem. It's true, my new computer with Windowns 8 worked perfect with the Router, but old computer with Vista could not pass the Router by wireless, unless I use Ethernet cord to connect to the Router. Thank you again.
