Dell-laptop not recognizing cd in drive

Hello,
Can someone please help me as All of sudden My laptop is not recognizing cd/dvd in drive.
I have checked the drivers update, it says the correct drivers are installed in ur system.
sometimes its recognizing after restarting many times.
it is dell-studio -I5 processor model.

u tried cleaning the lens with ear cleaning stick
