Dell Laptop Refuse to Charge

My dell laptop was charging yesterday and today, I was playing mtg but then I kept getting the battery has less than 10 percent remaining, I plugged the charger and took it out many times but it refuses to charge, I cant try the solution provided on dell website because i can't open my laptop to take out battery because my laptop inst the type that can open, the two chargers i have work on other computer fine but this computer can't detect any charger, think my battery is ruined, I don't have money to buy one and this s a school computer i have to pay 500 bucks if it is ruined, and my mom will kill me IDK what to pls help.

If this laptop is managed by the school, ask the school IT people to look at it. You have nothing to do with the battery working or not, not sure why you are worried about someone getting mad at you for that. Batteries fail, and the Dell batteries have been horrible for years, I have a ton of bad Dell batteries totally dead from even new computers or computers a year or two old.

Outside of the battery it could also be the charging port on the laptop that's bad. No way can the school charge you for a system that just failed unless you abused it and it actually has physical damage. Normal wear are tear and parts failing is expected in any system.
