I have a Dell Inspiron 5559 laptop and it began suffering from random system freezes which require a physical restart. There are no crash logs and no critical system errors listed to indicate the cause of the freeze. Also, there is no way of repeating the freeze, it occurs randomly, though most commonly when playing any game.
The freezes started after an SSD was installed. I uninstalled the SSD after the freezes began and reinstalled the original HDD, though the freezes persisted.
Windows 10 Home 64Bit Build 18362

GPU: Intel HD520
RAM: 16GB
HDD: Western Digital Black 7200 RPM (WDC WD10JPLX-00MBPT0)

- I've tested the temperatures, all under 30°C while under load and around 45° to 50° when idle.
- Did a system diagnostic (built in Dell hardware checker for CPU, RAM, and GPU; no issues found)
- Updated the BIOS to version 1.7.0 (latest)
- Updated the drivers.
- Ran a malware scan and did find something, though the crashes persisted after the malware was removed.
- Checked the battery health in the BIOS, came back as excellent, though it doesn't retain a charge for very long.
- I am using an official Dell 45W AC charger for the laptop.
- Used command prompt to execute sfc /scannow with no issues found
