Dell laptop wont let me play Online Games

Hello, I have a dell laptop (new) with required specs to play Starcraft 2 and League of Legends. It has internet access and Windows 8. I have played 5 games of starcraft, and 2 of LOL. Now when I try to play I can not, because the laptop won't allow the games to connect to the internet. Please help. (Tried disabling firewalls and antivirus. )

Did you allow it through your connection? What laptop is it, telling us it meets specs means nothing

What kind of network environment are you in? just at home? or does someone else have control of the network, many non-private networks don't allow certain kinds of traffic to save on bandwidth usage.
