Dell Latitude E4300 could not be logged on

Hi, i have a dell latitude e4300 which worked well before and just suddenly it went berserk. I tried to switch on, but once i pressed CLTr+ALT+DEL to log on as instructed on the screen, it went blank and dark. nothing appears at all. I tried with the safe mode but also to no avail. Please help me!

Have you tried hooking up a monitor to your laptop.
