Dell Latitude E6510 DVD drive issue

Installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Pro 32 bit. DVD drive works through boot up but once in Windows, OS doesn't show any drive other than the hard drive. I can boot to cd initially. I have tested another known working drive. Any suggestions?

Also, windows normally hides empty drives. Does this occur with a cd in the drive?
