hey guys! so i took apart my dell XPS 8700! and i was wondering if i could modify it to sell it :)
CASE modification is no problem! i will be ofcoarse overclocking the cpu!

it is a z87 chipset type so i should be able to overclock it 4.5 but i am worried if the mobo can hold so much voltage increase ? idk if it is made for overclocking or not!
the g3258 overclocks well and performs well so i will be probably selling it as an entry gamer PC! i will be modifying the case get about 5 fans installed with a fan controller instead of the cd bay! but that is not important 😛
hehe will it make it or not ?

What is the question exactly? It has a low end 460 watt PSU, and the mobo probably has very bad quality VRMs. You cannot harm your mobo by overclocking if that's the question. The low end parts simply mean that overclocking results won't be as good as they would with a better mobo. Just make sure you know what you're doing when you overclock the CPU, and I wouldn't go beyond 1.3 V (probably not even that) because that could really heat your VRMs up. Does that answer your question?
