Dell N5050 4gb ram showing instead of 8gb

My dell n5050 came with 4gb ram..I reinstalled windows 32 bit and I bought another 4gb ram which is supported by my system but why isnt the full 8Gb showing up and only 4 gb?
Can someone pls help?

"windows 32 bit" This is why. 32-bit windows can only address 4Gb of memory, for more you will need to use a 64-bit os.

If I install the 64 bit the wifi does not work...I tried all possible drivers....
