I just updated to windows 10, screen was working then, but then a disconnecting sound came and the screen got blank.
The display is working though, by that i mean that the windows logo comes but that is the only thing i see.
If i hook up a monitor then i can see everything, and that is how i am typing right now, but really need help!

Solution
When I had that issue with my Dell on Windows 10 too, it turned out that the LCD / CRT button was toggled on my keyboard. Just pressing Fn+F8 fixed it, It seems that Dell moved this around on the keyboard. On my newer Dell that would be Fn+F1, don't quite know where it would be on your model, but it would seem that it has been toggled.

Solution
Actually, it was a bit different than that, i found a dell page, telling us about the same issue, and then it worked out, as they gave a solution towards it as well, there were actually many models, facing the same problem. This will also work for the people who are trying to fix it from windows 8

There is actually a bios update you have to perform which leads to this.
