Dell Netbook 10 & 2010 with OS XP

I have 2 Netbooks and they are very fickle in what usb drives they will read. In fact I have 2 Kingston 64gb usb drives and it will read one of them but not he other. How can I get these computers to read ALL my various USBs.

Hopefully someone has an answer since this is my second reach out on this.

are you using a "USB HUB" or some other USB mitigation device?
Have you tried defragmenting the drives, and always using the "safely remove device" feature?
Have you ever just yanked the drive out of the computer? or have the computer shut down/bluescreen while doing something on a flashdrive?

EDIT: what do you mean "fickle in what usb drives they will read" Pop-UP screenshot or descriptions will help immensly. and are you using the FAT32 or NTFS on the flashdrives

not using any hubs and always use the safe to remove option/eject. I cringe when I see others that dont. no blue screen either. I can have the same exact 64gb drives and it will read 1 and not the other. I have even done a full format and not the quick with the same results Using FAT32 as well. I am away from the Netbook and will have to provide screen shots tonight when I get home.
