So i am currently upgrading my SFF Optiplex 7010 and nex ton the list was RAM hiwever, i am not to sure what to buy. I was told by a freind ot pick up some Hyper X fury ram howver, im not sure if it would be compatible and what modules i should get i have 8gb in right now, in 2 x 4 sticks and i hav e2 slots left i have been told that the max speed ram this mother board supports is 1600mhz and only ddr3 howver, if i buy 8gb of 1600mhz will that effect gamming becuase my other ram is slower than 1600mhz.

Thanks in advance

Crucial.com guarentees their kits to work and lifetime warrantee also. Unless you've added a GPU with 4GB RAM your 8GB is probably enough.

Any RAM you add will run at the slower speed of the ones you have. But when they slow down they run faster latency also. It's usually not a big deal.
High speed RAM is mostly for overclocking when RAM speed changes with a raised Front Side Bus speed. Then you need special RAM to run faster without losing too much to latency. Higher Voltage is often involved. For a Dell I would just run what Crucial sells.

I have added a 1050 LP from gigabyte which is 4gb so should I opt for the 2 GB version or get more ram and how badly would a 2gb be from a 4 in gaming. Thanks
