Dell Optiplex 740 2nd hard drive formatting issue

Splurged on a Newegg deal on WD black 500gb hd last week. Hooked it up to the PC this morning to clone the original drive. Since I forgot to get a 2nd SATA data cable I used the one for the dvd drive to hook up the wd drive. Bios sees both harddrives but the 2nd hd doesn't show up in windows explorer so I can format it.

Dell optiplex 740 minitower
AMD x2 athlon 1.9ghz
4gb of crucial ram
Win xp pro sp3

Ok figured out why I wasn't seeing it in windows explorer and feel a bit stupid for not remembering to look in disk manager :lol: . I have it formatting at the moment.
