Dell Optiplex 755 MT Graphic Card Upgrade

DVI-I ports will output (analog) VGA with an adapter: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-DVI-Cable-Adapter-DVIVGAMF/dp/B000067SOH
The card probably comes with one. But the card won't fit.

The 755MT has a strange BTX design that will limit the gfx card to a single slot.

Plus the fact that the HD-4870 requires a 500W PSU. I'm afraid the GT 730 64 bit DDR5 single slot is the best you can do:

clutchc, will that gt 730 64 bit run gta 5? and would i have to upgrade the power supply? also it says ddr5. the dell optiplex takes ddr2 ram or does it not matter since its a graphic card

Video RAM and system RAM are independent of each other. So that doesn't matter. You want the fastest VRAM available for a gfx card, no matter what.

The GT 730 64bit DDR5 will be fine on your PSU.
The GT 730 64bit DDR5 is basically a 1366x768 or 1280/720 card.
How it will perform with GTAV on your system will depend on several factors;
1) CPU
2) Screen Resolution
3) In-game settings
4) Amount of system RAM
5) Your tolerance for low frame rates

There are many videos out there showing how it performs on various rigs at various resolutions. Just search for GTAV GTX 730 64 bit, and look for videos.

Right. That card won't fit.
This is the difference between a double slot card and a single slot card if you are unsure:

Yes. Nvidia assumes the user may have a over-rated junk PSU and doesn't want to be responsible for careless users. Your Dell is plenty strong if it is the 305W and not the 250W
I've got a GTX 750 Ti running on a Dell 275W PSU in my Optiplex 790 SFF.

sorry with all the questions i know how to tear a computer apart and put it back together just when it comes to graphic cards and if their compatible im new to it so im learning with that
