I would think so. But drivers for newer GPUs Etc. may not exist. Win7 can run with Vista Drivers and is what I would recommend.

Considering the age of WindowsME, (and its reputation of being unstable vs, say Windows 98SE) Do you have a specific need to run that old of an OS?

I believe you should be able to run it without too many problems. It's built on MS-DOS technology, so you will need specific drivers for LAN, Sound, DVD/CD Drive (if equipped. DVD may not be usable,) USB, etc. I don't think you need for the CPU or the chipset specifically, as I said its built on DOS. I wouldn't plan on using modern components (GPU, LAN, Sound) internally as drivers for something that old don't usually exist. We're talking components that are early PCIe days at the newest... and the platform probably doesn't support older than PCIe anyway,

Maybe XP SP3, but nothing older.
