[SOLVED] dell optiplex 790 i3 & i5

Hi, purchased a dell optiplex 790 i3 a few weeks ago, used, when it got here I pulled my 250GB SSD from my HP and installed it into the Dell, reloaded windows 10, I was impressed with the performance, so I purchased another used one a dell optiplex 790 i5 quad, it has not arrived yet, bought it used off ebay, Im going to install the SSD from my other ancient HP 7700 compaq, and reload windows, question is, can I expect more surfing speed and even faster page loads from the i5? the i3 will be going to my wife's desk.. thanks guys, I don't game,but I love surfing fast on the net and through the sites

The surf speed will be entirely dependent on your internet speed. SSD will increase program loading speed greatly.

Generally no. Once you get to a decent cpu like that i3, it'll have similar internet browsing speeds to even a new i9 as long as you have a ssd and enough ram.

I had an i3-2000 and then put in an i5-2500, didn't really notice much of an improvement on the internet. The biggest improvements came from more ram and an SSD.
