That sounds like you may need to replace your system battery (the little battery on your motherboard). You can look hear for dell's specifications on it. Otherwise there may be something wrong with your motherboard i found some gx280 motherboards from these guys. Do you have an SMT?

I"ll try to find a new battery. What's an SMT? My model is called a Small Form Factor and is only 2 years old. I could not find a spec in the website you provided for the battery. I'll check in my local repair store. thanx again

Just look on the motherboard, and check for the CR # on the battery. The battery is below the RAM slots towards the bottom of the board. The average battery is a CR2032. This can be bought almost anywhere - drug stores, Walmart, grocery stores, Radio Shack, etc.

i have the same problem on gx280, but i changed the battery, and the message remain..
"alert! System battery voltage is low"

plus, when i shutdown the system, after some time, the fan start himself and turn very quickly , and the card check components, without starting computer..

if i start computer, all remain normal, with the same message .

i tried 2 differents new battery, same thing..
strange no.??
