dell optiplex gx620 dosent see 20 gb hdd

I put in a Dell optiplex gx 620 deskop model an 9-10 years old secundary 20 gb PATA hard disk and it shows up in bios as unknow and windows dosent see it. Is there a way i can fix this?

Get the latest drivers, because for such an old one, I think the OS is not able to load the drivers.

Ok, now when I turn it on it says that there is nothing on PATA0 even trough there is the hdd. I put the DVD reader on the hdd cable and it gets detected but the hdd dosent.
