You could do a CPU, RAM and motherboard upgrade. There is no motherboard that would use your current CPU with DDR4.

You also need a new case as that Dell case as no standard motherboard will fit that case. Its a proprietary BTX case.

Thanks, I had a feeling it might need a new outside as well as a new inside - didn't know about the case though, but did notice the size of the board. Cheers!

So this is no longer a Dell Workstation, but rather a whole new PC.
