But as I now have 1GB brandnew DDR2/667 allready bought home, what wouild you do?
Just forget this whole update processs - or buy still one same alike, so the dual channel rule plays? :pt1cable:

if you wanna run your pre existing ram, you must make sure
1. its ddr2 667
2. its dual channel (your new ram must be too) meaning there must be 2, or 4 dimms installed
but they can be different sizes
ex. my old pc ran 1, 1gb stick and 1 512mb stick
