The workstation I want to upgrade is currently using a Windows 8.1 operating system. It has the Intel Core i5 6400 Skylake Desktop Processor/CPU.

Some details in your query must be incorrect as the Precision T1500 is LGA1366- i7-880 for example and was made with Vista and Windows 7, and i5-6400 is LGA1151. As Passmark test results show, no Dell Precision used the i5-6400. Is it possibly a Dell Inspiron?

Also, what ifs the system used for and what is your budget?
