Hello everyone, last year I bought a Dell Precision t1500 cpu, a real bargain for the price I paid. It came with no HD, so put in there another one (win7) and was tested with a hard disk inside, and had no problems at all. Initially it was shipped with an i3 processor. But now the question I have is: can I put a greater process. in the socket ? The motherboard is XC7MM LGA 1156, Dell's brochure and documentation says it supports i3, i5 and i7 870 processors. But I need to know if this is correct and also if its possible (or not) to put an i7 processor with no issues at all ? Hope you can help me with this, and thanks a lot in advance.

Leo.

Carltonje, thanks for the quick reply. Well I do have the cooler that came originally with the cpu, I guess I''l buy a new one for the i7 just in case. And thanks for your advice.
