Question Dell Precision T3600 & GTX1080ti compatibility Question

Hi, I recently acquired an MSI GTX1080ti 11G for an incredibly cheap price and want to install it in my Dell precision T3600. The current PSU is rated at 625W and according to the Dell website is gold certified (90% efficient). I currently have a GTX1070 installed which consumes 150W however a 1080ti would consume 250W. The PSU only contains one single 8-pin (Power VGA2) connector. Would it be safe to use an 8-pin to dual 8-pin adapter. Also I'm aware of the 12% bottleneck from the CPU on a 1080ti. The CPU is an e5-1660 (130W TDP)

So yeah I'll Probably resell the 1080ti, wait for the 3070 to come out then buy a second hand 2070 with a single 8-pin power connector

I gather that the Dell PSU can't be relaced - they often have unique motherboard connectors.

Yep unfortunately . There's only one type of power distributor for the T3600

I have seen people put 1070 in them. I just put a 1650 super in mine. PCI has cables for 225w PCI power (75 MOB) (2x75 pci cables) so don’t exceed that and you should be fine. I thought I read somewhere that it could supply up to 300w but I can’t find where.
