Hello,
I have a new Dell computer. When I am on the internet, a message keeps popping up that "This copy of the Silverlight plugin is no longer valid" and offering a site to go to to "update". I answer "no" and the message disappears. However, if I go into my emails, it appears again, will not allow me to click on "no" and "freezes" up my computer.

I am not computer savvy and have no idea what to do with this "offer".

HELP PLEASE.

Run Windows update and look for MS Silverlight in the list. I'm guessing that for some reason it's needed or at least it's trying to run when you go to your email... and because it's not valid, it freezes. Where does this pop-up occur? In the yellow bar at the top of the browser or elsewhere? What version of Windows? (Obviously it's not 95/98/ME on a new computer... you posted in the incorrect section). If you run Windows update and download it there, the message should go away. If it doesn't, then you might have a malware issue.
