Dell recovery disk

Will a dell vista recovery disk from a 3year old dell work on a new dell motherboard. Like if I upgrade the motherboard and processor in my dell can I still use my vista recovery disk. The motherboard would be a regular dell motherboard. I know I wouldn't get dell support but that's no problem cause I don't get support now.
