Dell Reinstallation on Lenovo?

I don't have gnuine windows for my Lenovo thinkcentre and i dont have the product key for it. So i have some windows 7 reinstallation discs from when my old school got new dell pcs. It says "for only dell pcs" and that the product key might be required or be given to you. Please help, it's not that important but if it is possible i'd like to know it works before i try.

The Dell setup media is not likely to work with the Lenovo, and without a license key you will end up with licensing errors very quickly with prompts to activate and messages about Windows not being genuine. Some restore media won't boot unless it detects the correct BIOS, some may boot but then will install the wrong drivers and crash the system when Windows starts, some does work OK on other systems for the base setup. I have used some Lenovo media to install Windows on another computer. Of course it won't activate it, but it did run the setup and booted with no issues.
