Dell Studio 1569 Random Shut Down

Solution
Usually when I have a laptop come in for repairs albeit without any option to perform a swap or undergo an RMA(due to warranty periods being shot) then the first course of action is to first see if the issue is
a| With the unit itself
b| With the components in it
or
c| With the OS it is running

Expanding upon each pointer,
When we talk about the unit itself being faulty, primarily due to the motherboard, then no matter how many BIOS updates you perform, it'll yet be inoperable.
When we talk about components then it's possible that an overheating issue can be the culprit, a dis-assembly, heatsink cleaning and reapplication of TIM can avert this problem.
When we speak of the OS, usually an incompatibility with device drivers and the OS...

When we speak of the OS, usually an incompatibility with device drivers and the OS will cause the system to shut down without warning. It's happened before for AMD's APU systems.

Here's what you do:
1| Please pass on the specs of your laptop since there are a number of SKU's around inclusive of your OS.
2| See if a BIOS update helps and in the process make sure the rest of your drivers are up to date. You'll find all the necessary drivers for your unit here.
3| Since when have you been experiencing this issue and when did you purchase this unit?
