Dell Studio XPS 8100 replacing motherboard

I have a crashed Dell Studio XPS 8100 that I had diagnosed. I learned that the motherboard and the HDD are damaged but everything else is in working condition. My friend offered her old desktop (same model, we bought it together before) to replenish ruined parts. My question is, would any problem come up like, Windows licensing or others, if I decide to switch out same model mobo and HDD?

Btw, I'm planning on giving this desktop to old mother in law and the only thing she's going to use it for is airline ticket printing and Facebook. She agreed to give me a heads up if she's interested in playing Crysis games.

If the motherboard is exactly the same one do i not see any problems regarding windows,but just try and see.Changing the hdd is no problem anyway.
