Dell Support Assist not downloading for Latitude 3460

Hello,

I have a Dell Latitude 3460. Its Support Assist function runs fine, until it needs to download. It shows a continued failed attempt at downloading, even for one chipset 15mb download.

The Dell Command update runs fine and downloads well, though.

Any support is appreciated. (Yes, I have posted to the Dell Community Forum, but its support is very poor!)

Have you tried downloading what you need without using the SupportAssist utility?

Hi Phillip, no I haven't. The Dell Support Assist is a brand new feature from Dell, I think. It only appeared on my PC yesterday. I'll give it some time. What is the best way to download without the Support Assist feature?

Presumably do what you used to do before DellAssist came along, and what the vast majority of PC users do:

Visit the Dell website --- find the downloads page for your particular mode, download drivers or whatever else you need.

If your laptop is working fine as it is, you shouldn't be updating BIOS or drivers anyhow, leave it be.
