After fighting for a few days to get an OS on this motherboard, I ran the Dell diagnostics and got the official report on what's been fairly obvious. The official diagnosis is "disk controller not supported".
Can someone tell me if it's obligatory to have a RAID card in this computer? I've never heard of a system that would require a PCIe card just to boot up ... that would seem ludicrous. But the more I struggle with this, the more it seems that I need that card for normal operation, whether I'm setting up a RAID or not.
A bit of expertise from someone who knows would be very much appreciated.
