Hi all,
After careful research, I bought a Dell U2713HM. When I started to use it, I discovered it had severe RTC overshoot issues. I mean, it is BAD. It's bad enough to bother me in games a lot and also in movies.
I've contacted the local Dell branch and they sent me a replacement monitor. That monitor also had the same RTC issues. That monitor also had noticable backlight bleeding from the lower right corner. They sent me a third, guess what, same issues.
All three monitors were revision A00, manufactured May 2014.
Right now the local Dell branch is trying to shake me off. I am also talking to Dell on their facebook page and they are driving me insane. Every time some other service guy answers me, they don't read the previous correspondence and they suggest I try to update my drivers. To show them it is not a driver or other software issue, I hooked up both the new U2713HM and my trusty old 2209WA to the same graphics card, GTX770, and took some pictures of Battlefield 4. It shows clearly that the U2713HM has serious RTC issues, and the 2209WA is awesome.
One of the reps told me that nVidia had a problem with their driver and they had fixed it with the driver version that was released about two weeks ago. I went through the release notes of version 344.11 and there was nothing of that kind. Feels like they are trying to shake me off, too.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Has someone more "official" tried contacting them about it?
For me, this monitor is faulty. I will not accept it as it is.
