If there'a an issue, it will be finding drivers. I can't tell if dell has them (I'd bet they don't) but you'll have to check. If not you'll need to see if you can find all the drivers from the different component mfg's for win8.
That is the difficulty. Dell does not have the drivers for Windows 8 for the 220S. The Vista drivers may work I understand. I ran the Windows 8 Compatibility Assistant and the main problem file appears to be the Dell Storage Manager, and there is a KB 941024 workaround for this. I am guessing that I will have to just try to see if it works.
