Dell Vostro 400

Got a new Mother board .... reviews were good. Before there was a solid amber light on the power button and Mother board, with nothing happening. I installed the new board and moved CPU and plugged everything back. Still have the amber lights in both places. The only thing difference is the three fans come on now (Case, CPU and PSU) the power supply is new also. Holding the power button does not shut down computer.

The new Mother board is G33M02 (said it was compatible for the Vostro 400) the old one is G33M03.

CPU is Core 2 Quad.

Any ideas?

Maybe like they said the G33M02 does not support the C2Q cpu. Copy and paste from there: " Although other members of the G33 motherboard family also support Core 2 Quad processors, this one doesn’t. " https://www.techwalla.com/articles/the-foxconn-g33m02-specifications
