Dell Vostro 430 i7 4 beeps

Hi,

I have a dell vostro 430 which has a slight problem, I understand that for a dell vostro that outputs 4 beeps means a ram failure but that would be if the computer did not turn on/blank screen.

My pc, after around an hours use, the screen goes blank and then outputs 4 beeps?

any help would be appreciated

Sounds like an overheating problem. Try removing the CPU fan from the heatsink and blow it out with canned air if it is clogged.

You could also do a memory test like...

If you feel the RAM is failing.

Thanks for your answer, it must be a overheating issue, I am assuming it is a gpu overheat since the pc stays on, but displays go off.

its deffo not the ram, I have the ram in a similar pc working fine

Well your GPU could be clogged too. Does that computer have a discreet graphics card? If so check to make sure it is not dirty too.
