Dell XPS 13(9350) fan issue

Hi
I recently got a new Dell XPS 13 (2016) and it gets very hot when plugged in.
The problem is that I hear nothing from laptop so I was wondering if it has a fan and it's working.
How do I know that the fan is working? Does it have a fan at all?

I did a quick google and a lot of people seem to have the opposite problem you are having. The fans are running loud and are extremely noticeable. Try going into your BIOS settings and ensure that everything looks okay.

might also be wise to see if there are updates from the manufacturer here:

yes that's what I read too. people are complaining about fan being too noisy and yet I hear nothing!
what should I search for in bios? I upgraded everything including bios firmware the first day
