Hello,
I have a question about the temperatures of my CPU in my Dell XPS 15.
When running the pre-boot diagnostics from Dell from the BIOS, the external CPU sensor reports a temperature of 92 °C to 97 ° C max during the CPU and RAM stress tests.
Will running this stress test cause damage to my CPU? I looked up the max temperature of my particular CPU, and it says 100 °C (Link to ark.intel.com page). So far, the system hasn't shut down on me yet.
I know my laptop (and most laptops in general) doesn't have the best cooling solution out there, but shouldn't the temperatures be lower? When idle, the temperatures are 40 °C - 55°C.
Thank you very much in advance.
