Dell XPS 600 Motherboard

Hi I'm running on an old XPS setup and I want to upgrade the motherboard. Does anyone know if it fits ATX or does it only fit something specific? Also motherboards+processors could you recommend for less than $240 the I can still fit into the XPS case?

You can't put in a different motherboard BUT you can replace the cpu in it.

For example you could put in a core 2 quad like the 2.4 ghz

You could also make a cheap gaming machine, it wouldn't run battlefield 4 or crysis 3 etc, but it'd play quite a few games.

You could pop in that core 2 duo, which is only 20 bucks, find a suitable graphics card, maybe increase the ram, and bam! You've got yourself a cheap gaming rig.
