Dell XPS 730 32 bit upgrade question?

Hi guys. New to the forum and to the PC building world, please take me as a little to none computer knowledge guy, so with that in mind I got a silly question.

I have a XPS 730 Core 2 DUO E8400 3.00 ghz 32 bit running W7 (also 32 obviously) I really love the systems performance still to this day it keeps up with the newest pc's out there and I really like the looks but I wanna see if there a way to actually upgrade the mother board to a newer one with i7 64bit (if possible). A lot of my programs with heavy graphics and process would run a lot more efficient with 64 bit.

Please correct me if I'm just asking for something impossible. What other options do I have? Graphics and Ram have been upgraded to the max and can not go any higher because System's Limitations.

Core 2 DUO E8400 is 64bit processor, no reason why it should run 64bit OS.

Okay so my only issue would be getting a 64 bit version of Windows 7? All this time I've been bashing my head against the desk for nothing. Thanks Mike.

Don't expect any earth shaking moments with 64bit windows but you'd be able to run 64bit programs and most of all, use over 4GB of RAM. Downfall is no 16bit programs or drivers would run.
