Dell XPS 8100 Runs 32GB Of Ram

Hello. I Recently Purchased A Pre Owned Dell XPS 8100 Desktop PC That Only Had 8GB Of DDR3. I Noticed In Many Threads That This Motherboard Will Only Go To 16GB. However Just To Try It I Installed 4 8GB Sticks Of Kingston DDR3 Memory And It Not Only Posted But Runs Major Fast. My Question Is Will Running 32GB Of Ram On This Motherboard Make The Board Go Bad ??? Thanks For Your Time.

If it runs, then it's fine. Running 32 GB of memory can't damage the motherboard, but the CPU officially supports only 16 GB. Windows has access to all 32 GB?
